Listening transcription

We were working in class a biton the process to perform an excellent transcription process. Here I will review the tips given for you to bear them in mind.
1. listen to the whole text.
This will help you to get in touch with things such as: the register, speed, topic, vocabulary and of course, the length of the audio.
2. Estimate the time.
This comes from the first listening. Once you get to know the time, you can calculate the time you would take for developing the transcription task.
3. Start the excercise.
Remember that the brain has to perform two activities at the same time. This means, listen, retain and decode for writing. It is advisable to start by listening one interchange ( one intervention of each of the speakers in the dialogue). During the exercise you will feel more confident to extend the listening step by step. You can use your pencil in order to help yourself in the next step.
4. Rewind and check.
This step will facilitate the checking and correcting process aiming the fulfilment of the task. Through it, you will be able to assure the sequence, rhe spelling and grammatical agreement are being correct. So it as many times as the time ser allows it.
Now that you have all the advice, try some practice. The following are some websites to do it. please do the feedback of your performance, ir will be a nice training for the product we'll develop the next week.
