COLLECTIVE AND PARTITIVE NOUNS.
Talking about nouns means focusing in everything surrounding us. Subjects and objects performing and being affected by actions. In this log, we'll dedicate to explain two of the noun sub-categories: COLLECTIVE and PARTITIVE NOUNS.
COLLECTIVE NOUNS.
In ocassions, we need to refer to a set or group of elements, people or animals and calling them by their individual name in plural is the basic alternative thus, there exist another way that is designing that group under a singular name.
E.g. A group of soldiers is a brigade, a platoon, or an army.
A group of payers is a team.
A group of elements is a set..
A group of sheep or birds is a flock.
PARTITIVE NOUNS.
Presenting a noun partially, or partly is the function of PARTITIVE NOUNS. So, they name a part of an entire noun.
E.g. A bit of cheese.
A speck of dust
A lot of soap
